Un’esperienza pensata per gli amanti della natura, della tranquillità e delle bellezze del territorio toscano.
Partendo dal mare della Versilia, pedaleremo lungo la costa fino alla pineta di Levante a Viareggio, dove inizia il tratto su sterrato immerso nella natura. Il profumo dei pini e il silenzio del bosco ci accompagneranno fino a Torre del Lago Puccini, affacciata sulla sponda occidentale del Lago di Massaciuccoli. Qui avremo la possibilità di visitare la casa di Giacomo Puccini e l’imponente teatro all’aperto dedicato al celebre compositore.
Proseguendo lungo sentieri panoramici, raggiungeremo Massaciuccoli, dove ci aspetta la visita all’Oasi LIPU. Un luogo magico, ideale per il birdwatching: nascosti nei capanni di osservazione, potremo ammirare specie rare come il falco di palude, l’usignolo di fiume, il forapaglie castagnolo e il tarabusino, simbolo dell’Oasi. La passerella di legno lunga 700 metri ci porterà nel cuore del canneto, tra scenari suggestivi e silenzi interrotti solo dai richiami degli uccelli.
Chi lo desidera, potrà concludere l’escursione con un pranzo tipico in una trattoria affacciata sul lago, gustando affettati locali e tordelli toscani (pranzo su richiesta).

Nature, birdwatching and Tuscan flavors
A perfect tour for nature lovers, designed to immerse you in the landscapes, history, and flavors of Versilia.
We’ll start from the coast of Versilia and follow the seaside path into the Levante Pine Forest of Viareggio, where we’ll enter a scenic off-road trail surrounded by pine trees and fresh woodland scents. Our first stop is Torre del Lago Puccini, on the western shore of Lake Massaciuccoli, where you’ll have the chance to visit the former home of composer Giacomo Puccini and the open-air theater dedicated to him.
Continuing along the route, we’ll reach Massaciuccoli and explore the LIPU Nature Reserve, a peaceful haven for birdwatchers. From dedicated observation huts, you can spot rare and fascinating bird species such as the marsh harrier, river nightingale, moustached warbler, and the little bittern, the symbol of the reserve. A 700-meter wooden boardwalk winds through reeds and wetlands, offering spectacular views and moments of tranquility.
To complete the experience, those who wish can stop for a traditional Tuscan lunch at a lakeside trattoria, featuring local cold cuts and handmade tordelli pasta (optional, on request).
